Hey there! Good to be back!
Thank you to all the new readers and the loyal ones who are still here, even though I have not been posting lately.
I wanted to wait until September to post a new story after the summer break, but I found out that today is International Dog Day, and how could I miss this chance to sing the praises of our canine companions?
I know that there are many feline Trainers among us. If you are one of them, chances are you chose to be a cat person and might be tired of hearing that dogs are THE best friends, wagging bundles of joy, champions of unconditional love and loyalty! … Now, before you sharpen those claws, let’s give them a chance: today is their day after all!
Well… there is no getting around it... Dogs are awesome! 😬
Praising all dogs in the world would be too easy, so let’s make it more challenging. If I had to pick just one thing, what would I thank dogs for? They undoubtedly have an enormous impact on us humans. I believe that dogs have taught people to respect animals. It happened a long way back in time when humanity started seeing dogs as friends and not tools. And it still happens in our days, every day: every time a dog gives that special, unconditional love to a kid, that kid will love them back - a kind of love that can never be forgotten.
And then, of course! Having a dog means an endless tail-wagging, heart-melting, slobber-covered daily life! I want to thank dogs for helping me find joy in silly things, like when they give us that side eye waiting for us to say something 🥰 or those magical moments when they sploot on the ground after a stretch! 🤗
I also want to thank dogs for being who they are. Good boys and girls? Bad boys and girls? It doesn’t matter! They are all individuals. They will grow with us, and yes, they will be shaped by us and our lifestyle, in a way... but they will always be themselves with us. That’s what make dogs truly our best friends, ‘cause whatever happens they stay true to us. And when you have a friend like this in your life, it’s a cause for celebration!
Treasure those important moments of your life that you share with your dog.
They are never with us long enough, and then you realize that they pass through your life like a shooting star, the kind that you enjoy watching so much that you forget the need to make a wish.
Celebrate your dog, today and every day!
I will be posting once a month from now on! I’m happy to be back! Enjoy the rest of your summer everyone 🤗
As the adventure continues…
